Child Custody Mediation

Child Custody Mediation

Joint Custody, Sole Custody, Shared Custody and Split Custody. What does this really mean?

Legal issues involving a child can be complex and emotionally charged. At this difficult time for your family, you need the help of a mediator you can trust to handle your case with the utmost compassion, skill, and professionalism.

Here to Help

NOTE: Proposed amendments to the Divorce Act (Bill C-78) would do away with this language. Instead, we find concepts such as: “parenting time”; “A party shall … to the best of their ability, protect any child of the marriage from conflict arising from the proceeding”; “ … the parties … shall try to resolve the matters … through a family dispute resolution process (emphasis added)”. We have been helping families this way, long before these proposed amendments.

The Resolution Alternative’s satisfaction comes from helping those in need of information, understanding, sensitivity, and guidance. We are committed to improving the lives of children and their families through compassion & attention to everyone’s needs. When children are involved, it is critical to their well-being that any conflict be reduced as much as possible. The Resolution Alternative pushes hard for efficient and effective positive outcomes and doing everything possible to reach a resolution smoothly.

We know that this is a challenging time and believe that you deserve attentive, individualized service–and that’s exactly what you can expect when you work with The Resolution Alternative, from your initial consultation to the resolution of your case.
